In the pursuit of understanding and self-improvement, many turn to ancient wisdom. One of the most profound sources of such wisdom is the Bhagavad Gita. During a reflective moment, I recited a powerful shloka from the fourth chapter: Agnacha Ashradhanacha Sanshay Atma Vinashati Naya Loko Asti Paro na Sukham Sanchayatma. In essence, this verse reminds us that without knowledge and conviction, we are destined to live without true happiness, not only in this world but in any conceivable existence.
"The soul that lacks knowledge and conviction will not find peace or happiness anywhere."
This profound message was famously delivered by Lord Krishna to a conflicted Arjun on the battlefield when he urged the warrior to recognize his duty amidst personal turmoil.
Encountering Life's Hardships
My journey mirrors the teachings of the Gita, underscoring the importance of knowledge and conviction. As a middle-class boy from Rajasthan, studying in Mumbai, my life was not without challenges. With a father working in government services and a mother dedicated to our home, we lived modestly, always mindful of our economic limitations. This upbringing taught me the value of perseverance.
I vividly remember traveling in the sleeper class, sleeping on the train floor, and feeling trapped by our circumstances. Many can relate to the hardships of middle-class life, wherein familial support and limited resources are daily realities.
In this phase, I learned a harsh but invaluable lesson—complaining about circumstances doesn't alleviate them. True change requires breaking through the "mental jar," a metaphorical barrier that limits our aspirations. Like flies conditioned to remain within a jar's confines, we must overcome mental limitations to achieve greatness.
The Power of Education and Sacrifice
The key to breaking free lies in education. My journey in academia was initially unremarkable until I decided to commit fully to it. In a community tradition, the top student in the 10th grade was chosen to hoist the flag on August 15th, while the 12th-grade highest achiever did on January 26th. This honor became my motivation.
Despite early failures, including disappointing my parents in grade 10, I became resolute. For 500 days, I awakened at 3:45 a.m. to study, achieving a 92% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in my 12th grade.
The satisfaction on my parents' faces when I finally hoisted the flag remained etched in my memory, reinforcing that with determination, any goal is attainable.
From Education to Career
Completing my higher education, including an MBA and a CFA, provided a strong foundation for my career. Initially, I worked in real estate, closely assisting the Managing Director of Raheja Universal. This exposure taught me to transition from entitlement to responsibility—a crucial shift in the job market.

To grow, I understood I needed continuous learning. Reinforcing my mantra of knowledge and conviction, I dedicated 5% of my salary to learning new skills, resulting in my salary expanding sixfold in six years.
Investing for a Purposeful Life
Beyond corporate success, I began investing in 2008. Embracing a disciplined approach, like systematic investments in mutual funds, I created a substantial financial base. By 39, this discipline allowed me to pursue purposeful financial independence, leading to content creation—a passion and profession.
Gone were my corporate boots, giving way to a world where self-expression took center stage. Despite initial skepticism about my ability to succeed in content creation, I applied the same principles of knowledge, conviction, and consistency that had guided me thus far.
The Realm of Content Creation
Launching into content creation was not just a career shift; it was a revelation. I learned that in today's digital age, content is not merely king but an entire kingdom.
Every day, I released a video, nurturing my audience of over 1.5 million in mere months. This period taught me that sincerity, authenticity, and an unswerving commitment are the bedrocks of content creation.
